The Ohio Valley Ski Council (OVSC) Summit is 30 May – 1 Jun, 2008. Check out the OVSC website for all the details. This year it is being held in downtown Columbus in the Arena District, close to the major events and the Short North. This is an opportunity to meet representatives from all the other clubs, plus meeting and chec king out the vendors and trade shows. In addition, there are several fun events planned, such as a wine tasting, golf and bike ride. Registration forms are available on line and the registration cost is $45. 2008 Napa valley/San Francisco Trip: Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf (2 nights); Embassy Suites Napa Valley (3 nights), tours/alternatives/wineries/group activities … pricing tbd but on-the-order-of $1,200 - plus or minus (air package is indeterminate at this time). (Lots of options that will be additional.) Keely Paul is the trip leader. She did the European Bike and Barge Trip which several Kittyhawkers took part in this past summer and very much appreciated what she facilitated. Sometimes you may not have the pleasure of joining the Kittyhawk Ski Club on one of their trips. If you suffer from this malady, you may wish to go with another OVSC club for snow.
