News from the VEEP

I know Kick-off has come – Kick-of has gone. Were you there?? Saw some people we had not seen in forever and some new/wanna-bees. Before you know it, you will be hearing Kittyhawk's favorite whine: “Are we there yet?” But before we get to that point, we must have a few meetings. Our first official meeting of the 2010 – 2011 Season, at our new location, will be Tuesday evening, 19 Oct. We will have one humdinger(?) of a guest speaker for our program. Kittyhawk's own John Cole!! John will have ski info and info about Perfect North Slopes (where you can find him quite often after it snows or gets cold enough for PNS to blow snow). John may, also, have a few goodies to share. Never know what he might pull out of a ski boot or shirt sleeve so you need to be there. The DAI Oktoberfest was great this year. Kittyhawk represented itself rather well. The weather cooperated for it and the tons of other festivals. Some of you may have seen my spouse—yes, I do admit to it—with his new “hair” style. Bob had a lot of fun with his “hair”. Some of the questions and comments only proved that people do say “unique” things. (It also proves the Veep can word things politely when she chooses.) Let's try to have a really good turn out for our new meeting place and to hear John, otherwise—well--you don't want to know about that—just attend!! Till next time—I'm out of here. Veep! Veep!
